Space for Differences
Kelly Johannsen L鈥26 says she is thankful for Lancaster Theological Seminary鈥檚 commitment to teaching love for God and our neighbors through programs that combine intellectual, spiritual, and practical training for those preparing to enter vocational ministry. She says LTS provides a place for the free exploration of diverse theologies, thoughts, and expressions in an inclusive, ecumenical, and interfaith community.
Kelly is studying for her Master of Divinity degree. Meanwhile, she serves as lay minister of visitation at her church in East Greenville, Pennsylvania, visiting local hospitals, elder care facilities, and private homes to offer spiritual support and compassion for those in need.
As a non-traditional student with two children in college, Kelly is thankful she can rely on the generous funding of supporters for her tuition costs.
鈥淚 feel extremely blessed to be a part of the LTS community. I believe that God has brought us all together at this special place and time to learn from one another and to form life-changing relationships that will have a positive impact on the world around us,鈥 Kelly says.
