Profile

Area of study: Master of Divinity

Hometown: York, PA

What inspired you to enroll at Moravian Seminary?

I have a family history with the seminary. I also come from a family of pastors and felt it was time to see where I fit into that.

What are your career goals and desired profession?

My goal is to graduate with a Master of Divinity degree and become a local church pastor, possibly in youth ministry. I am open though to where God is guiding me.

How has your experience at Moravian contributed to your personal growth or development?

I have met a variety of people and learned from all of them. I have also immensely enjoyed experiencing chapel services on Saturdays and becoming immersed in new worship styles.

How do you see your Seminary degree enhancing your call to serve?

I believe so far that it has given me experience with a wide range of people and perspectives that I may not have gotten anywhere else.

Please share a bible verse personally meaningful to you and explain why.

Micah 6:8 because it lays out simply what we as Christians should do: be fair to one another, be kind to one another, and love God.

What is one word to describe your Moravian experience?

Self-reflective

Thank You

Thank you for supporting me in my seminary journey. In just one semester I have learned a lot about myself and about the ways in which I can be of service to others. I come from a family of UCC pastors and have been learning where I fit within that family history. I have particularly enjoyed spending time with my classmates and getting to learn from people whose lives are very different than my own. I will continue to work to the best of my ability to earn the scholarship that was so graciously gifted to me. My ultimate hope is to graduate with my Master of Divinity degree and become a local church pastor where I can continue to serve others and show them the love of Christ. Thank you again for this opportunity, and I look forward to the rest of the next four years of my seminary education.
